Drews Ltd, known locally as 'Drews The Ironmongers' is one of Reading's most successful family firms. Percy Drew, grandfather of the present Managing Director, David Drew, established the company in 1929. The next generation, Chris, Nic and Lisa Drew have all joined the company and will take it forward well into the new century.
We welcome both trade and retail customers alike, offering a wide choice of stairs, ladders, steps, ironmongery, tools, fixings, plumbing and decorating products (see also www.drews.uk.com) all of which are stocked in depth. This on-line catalogue represents only a fraction of our ranges. We stock a wide range at our store in Reading.We are committed members of the Builders Merchant Federation, the British Hardware Federation and the Guild of Architectural Ironmongers. Making A Purchase Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our Catalogue, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart (trolley)
The price displayed is for a single unit excluding VAT. If you wish to place a large order we would ask that you contact us directly as we may be able to offer improved terms. VAT is added where applicable at the checkout.
Carriage charges are also added at the checkout. If your delivery address is within our free local delivery area we will not charge for delivery (although it will still appear on your order). After you have finished your selection, click on "checkout" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy your order.
We accept Visa, MasterCard and Maestro. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. If you are in business and would wish to open a trade account please contact us for an application form. If you already have an account with DREWS you may select 'invoice to my DREWS account' in the checkout payment options. Please remember to give us your order numer. |
| Shipping And Handling This online catalogue is only available for deliveries to UK addresses. Mainland UK including Highlands carriage is £9.00 plus VAT per order for goods under 50 Kg. Our standard delivery service is via City Link. We charge the following for non mainland UK addresses (prices do not include VAT which should be added): Northern Ireland and other UK Off-shore places £20. Items heavier than 200 Kg cost England £50, Wales £60 and Scotland £70. |

| Credit Card Security We know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using our shopping system over the Internet. Goods may be returned for credit providing they are returned to us in their original packaging and in a re-saleable condition. The customer is responsible for the safe return of goods at their own expense. Proof of posting is not proof of receipt. In the (unlikely) event of faulty goods we will reimburse any reasonable carriage charges incurred. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Inspiral Stairs agrees to respond promptly to all complaints in a fair and equitable manner.
Inspiral Stairs and the customer shall use their best efforts to negotiate in good faith and settle amicably any dispute that may arise out of the supply of our products or in the interpretation of these conditions.
If the parties cannot settle any such dispute within 21 days it shall be referred to an independent third party jointly nominated by the parties.
If the parties shall fail to nominate a third party within a further 7 days then the third party may be nominated at the request of either party. The consumer is not compelled to take part in these proceedings.
The third party shall act as an expert and not as an arbitrator whose decision (including as to costs) shall be final and binding on us both. |
